Plancher Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, PLLC |
Education & Research Orthopaedic Community
The physicians at Plancher Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine are dedicated to promoting the growth of medical knowledge and commit themselves to being active educators within the orthopaedic community. Our doctors regularly lead instructional courses and lectures worldwide.
In 2000, Dr. Kevin Plancher and his wife fulfilled their goal to organize and found the Orthopaedic Foundation for Active Lifestyles. Their motivation was to effectively promote, support, develop and encourage research concerning minimally invasive orthopaedic surgery, developing ways to decrease symptoms from arthritis, advancements for treating musculoskeletal diseases, and educating the general public and school age children about orthopaedics. The Foundation's unique programs focus on "Keeping You in the Game": Today the Board of Directors is comprised of nationally acclaimed individuals who devote their time to this cause to help each one of us.
Foundation Programs:
- Medical Education for physicians and other health care professionals to keep them informed about the latest techniques and minimally invasive and arthroscopic treatments.
- Community Outreach offering classes to high school science students, varsity athletes, coaches, trainers and individuals interested in staying active and healthy while competing.
- Clinical Trials allowing patients and the general public to have access to the latest healthcare trends, medical procedures and methods to staying "in the game" while being pain free.
- Medical/Research Fellowship is offered each year to a qualified medical professional who exhibits outstanding skills and commitment to the field. The Fellowships provide a challenging and exciting clinical and research experience in Sports Medicine of the knee, shoulder, and upper extremity.
